The Number One Citizen of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday signed the petroleum university bill. Since the announcement of the bill there has been a sense of celebration within the fupre community, but it still raises some questions. According to Vanguard News , the bill paves the way for the establishment of the federal university of petroleum resources, effurun. Fupre Centre For Maritime and Offshore is studies is as a result of collaboration between the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun and Maritime/Offshore Industries. The goal of the centre is to maritime and offshore related courses with national and international recognition. The Federal University of Petroleum Resources partners with relevant and respected maritime, offshore and onshore contracting firms supplying a range of maritime based services to the Oil and Gas Industry.
