Mechanical Engineering Crowned 2017 Fupre VC Cup Champions

Mechanical Engineering were crowned Fupre VC Cup 2017 Champions on Thursday 27^th July 2017 after their 2 – 0 victory over Chemical Engineering.

The match was fairly comfortable for Mechanical as Chemical Engineering failed to live up to expectations and pose any serious treat to Mechanical, with their best opportunities coming from set plays.

The first goal came mid way into the first half while the second goal came late in the second half from the man they call Messi, which secured their third VC Cup title in a row.

During half time there was a one-half match between the college of science and college of technology female teams, and the technology girls were victorious for the second time this year, this time their victory came via penalties. The man of the match (or is it lady of the match?) was undoubtedly the number 19 for college of science despite their loss.

Fupre Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. J. B. Arubayi and the Dean of Students Affairs were present to hand over medals to the finalists and the trophy to Mechanical Engineering.
