Fupre Admission Requirements For All Courses


This article provides information on the necessary requirements and qualifications required for admission into various programmes in the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun FUPRE.


UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME
To be admitted into any of the departments in the Undergraduate programme, interested applicants must apply through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) body and score 180 and above, having met the minimum 5 credit O'Level required by the department of interest in not more than two sittings.

Five credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Language.

Computer Science
Five credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, English Language plus two other Science subjects from Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science. At least a pass in chemistry and Biology is mandatory.
Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry and Agricultural Science.

Environmental Sciences
Five credit passes including Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Geography. At least a pass in Physics is mandatory.
Chemistry, Biology and any of physics and Mathematics.

Geology
Five credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Language.
Any three of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Geography.

Geophysics
Five credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Language.
Physics and two of Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.

Industrial Chemistry
Five credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Language.
Chemistry, Mathematics and any of Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science

Mathematics
Five credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, English Language plus two other science subjects from Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science. At least a pass in chemistry and Biology is mandatory.

For admission into pre-degree programme of the University, a candidate must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes including English Languages and Mathematics in not more than two (2) examination sittings.

JUPEB / FOUNDATION

For admission into the Post HND Programme candidates must possess;
1.    Interested candidates must possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in any of the above disciplines, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.

2.    Interested candidates must possess an OLevel Result; either WASSCE,NECO,GCE or any equivalent with five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and any other science subject like Biology, Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics or Technical Drawing.
